The project

Bull Europe Ltd is the Malta-based hub that supplies Bull BBQ outdoor kitchens and grills across Europe, the Middle East, Africa and the UK. M7Alpha designed and built the Bull BBQ EU e-commerce website, built a custom internal system for the business, produced graphic design and print work, and hosts and maintains the site. This case study focuses on one challenge: a single website that has to work for homeowners, dealers and distributors at the same time.

Who is Bull BBQ Europe?

Bull Europe Ltd is a partnership between Bull Outdoor Products Inc., the American outdoor barbecue brand, and its Maltese partners, AG Investments Limited. Its stated priority is to build a network of distributors, dealers and contractors across its territories, as Bull has done in the United States.

The range covers built-in charcoal, LPG and natural gas barbecues, American-designed stainless steel grills, wood-fired pizza ovens, outdoor BBQ kitchen islands and outdoor bar islands. The website explains why Malta was chosen as the hub: its position in the Mediterranean between Europe, Africa and the Middle East, the shipping lanes through the Malta Freeport, and the manufacturing, management and marketing facilities of the partners.

Who does the website need to serve?

The site serves several audiences with very different jobs to do, and each one has its own route through it.

Visitor What they come to do Where the site sends them
Homeowners Browse the range, get ideas and find where to buy Products, Recipes, Gallery, Find a Dealer, Get a Quote
Dealers Reach their own area of the site, or apply to join the network Dealers Area, Become a Dealer
Distributors Reach their own area of the site Distributors Area
Existing owners Register a warranty, make a claim or solve a technical issue Warranty Registration, Warranty Claim, Technical FAQs

Consumer routes lead the main menu, while the trade areas sit in the footer on every page. That keeps the site simple for a homeowner, while dealers and distributors always know where to find their section.

How does the site help a homeowner choose an outdoor kitchen?

It starts with products and inspiration, then points people to a dealer who can supply and install them.

The homepage introduces Bull’s outdoor kitchens and invites visitors to locate their local dealer. Products are organised by category. An Inspiration menu groups Recipes and a Gallery, which help people picture a built-in grill in their own garden. The Latest section carries articles, from the story of Bull’s fully constructed outdoor kitchens to a practical BBQ checklist.

An outdoor kitchen is a considered purchase, often planned with a dealer or contractor, so Get a Quote and Find a Dealer sit in the main menu on every page. The website is built as an e-commerce platform, so the product range, categories and buying routes are all managed in one place.

How does the website support the dealer network?

Dealers and distributors each have a dedicated area of the site, and businesses that want to join can apply through Become a Dealer.

For a company whose main goal is to grow a distribution network across a large territory, the trade side of the website matters as much as the consumer side. Find a Dealer and Become a Dealer connect both ends: new dealers can ask to join, and homeowners can find the dealers already in place. The footer also links to the product catalogue and a general enquiry form.

Behind the public website, M7Alpha also built a custom internal system for Bull BBQ, designed around the way the business works rather than adapted from an off-the-shelf tool.

A brand that sells through dealers also needs material that works on paper as well as on screen. Alongside the website, M7Alpha produced graphic design and print work for Bull BBQ Europe, so the brand looks consistent wherever a customer or dealer meets it.

How does the site look after customers once they have bought?

A Support menu in the main navigation covers warranty registration, warranty claims and technical FAQs.

Putting after-sales support next to the products tells buyers the brand stands behind what it sells, and it lets owners help themselves before contacting the team. The Contact Us page lists the email address and telephone number, with an enquiry form.

What can other distributors learn from this project?

  1. Map every audience first: homeowners, trade partners and existing customers each need their own route.
  2. Keep consumer routes in the main menu and trade routes easy to find, but out of the way.
  3. Make Find a Dealer and Get a Quote visible on every page for considered purchases.
  4. Put warranty and technical support in the navigation, not only in the small print.
  5. Use one platform for products, trade areas and support, so information stays consistent.

Clear, well-labelled product and support pages also help search engines and AI assistants such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Copilot and Perplexity describe what a brand sells and where to buy it.

Frequently asked questions

Who designed the Bull BBQ website?

M7Alpha Creative Studios, a web design, development and branding agency in Żurrieq, Malta, designed and built the Bull BBQ Europe e-commerce website. M7Alpha also built a custom internal system for the business, produced graphic design and print work, and hosts and maintains the site.

Where is Bull BBQ Europe based?

Bull Europe Ltd is based in Malta, which acts as the hub for Bull BBQ supplies to Europe, the Middle East, Africa and the UK. It is a partnership between Bull Outdoor Products Inc. and its Maltese partners, AG Investments Limited.

Should a brand that sells through dealers have a dealer locator on its website?

Yes. If customers usually buy through a local dealer or installer, a Find a Dealer page answers their next question straight away. Pairing it with a Become a Dealer route also helps the brand grow its network.

What is the difference between a website and an internal system?

A website is built for customers and partners outside the business, while an internal system is built for the team that runs it. Our guide to custom software vs off-the-shelf explains when a custom system makes sense.
