The project

AX Care brings together three related services in Naxxar, Malta: Simblija Care Home, Hilltop Gardens Retirement Village and the Revive Physio and Aquatic Centre. M7Alpha designed and built the AX Care website, which presents all three under one umbrella brand, part of the wider AX Group family of businesses. This case study looks at how one website can explain several kinds of care clearly, and why that matters to the people reading it.

What did AX Care need from a single website?

AX Care needed one place where a family could understand every option it offers without visiting three separate sites. Choosing care for a parent, or a retirement home for yourself, is a big decision, and people often do not know at the start whether they need a care home, a retirement apartment or rehabilitation.

The website had to do three things at once: introduce AX Care as a whole, give each service its own clear identity, and make it easy to ask a question or arrange a visit. It also had to feel warm and personal, because the reader is usually weighing up a very personal choice.

How does one site present three different services?

Each service has its own section and its own place in the main menu, so visitors can go straight to the one that fits their situation.

Service Who it is for What the site explains
Simblija Care Home Older people who need daily support Independent, assisted and dementia care plans, plus respite, post-operative and palliative care
Hilltop Gardens People over 55 who want to live independently A retirement village of apartments and penthouses in Naxxar, with facilities and services on site
Revive Physio and Aquatic Centre Residents and outside patients recovering or staying active Physiotherapy, hydrotherapy, post-operative rehabilitation, sports recovery and physio classes

Because the three services sit side by side, a visitor who arrives looking at retirement apartments can also see that care and physiotherapy are available on the same premises. That connection is one of AX Care’s strongest points, and the website makes it visible instead of leaving people to discover it later.

How does the homepage guide a family’s first visit?

The homepage moves from the big picture to the detail, in the order a family tends to think.

It opens with a short line for each service, then a plain introduction to AX Care and where it is. Next come three summaries, one for Simblija, one for Hilltop Gardens and one for Revive, each with enough detail to tell a reader whether it is relevant to them. Further down, the page introduces the wider network of specialists available to residents, such as doctors, occupational therapists, podiatrists and nutritionists, before moving on to the team, testimonials and news.

A footer listing the three brands, the address, contact details and careers means the next step is always close at hand, whichever part of the page someone has scrolled to.

What builds trust on a care website?

People, plain facts and other people’s experiences build trust far more than slogans do.

  • The team: a dedicated section introduces the management, healthcare professionals and therapists, so families can see who will be looking after their relative.
  • Testimonials: a section for residents and families to share their experience in their own words.
  • Latest news: updates, practical tips and articles on senior living and care, which show the organisation is active and help readers make informed decisions.
  • Clear care types: naming each type of care plainly, from respite to palliative care, so readers know what is and is not offered.
  • Careers: a route for people who want to work in care, which also signals a growing, staffed organisation.

This kind of clear, factual content also helps AI assistants. When someone asks ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Copilot or Perplexity about care homes or retirement living in Malta, those tools look for websites that state what a service is, who it is for and where it is.

What can other care providers take from this project?

The main lesson is to organise the website around the reader’s situation, not around the organisation chart. For care homes, clinics and retirement communities:

  1. Give each service its own page, with a plain description of who it suits.
  2. Show how related services connect, such as care and physiotherapy on the same site.
  3. Introduce the team by name and role.
  4. Name every type of care you offer, using the words families actually search for.
  5. Keep contact details and the next step visible on every page.

Who designed the AX Care website?

M7Alpha Creative Studios, a web design, development and branding agency in Żurrieq, Malta, designed and built the AX Care website. The site presents Simblija Care Home, Hilltop Gardens Retirement Village and the Revive Physio and Aquatic Centre under one brand.

What is AX Care?

AX Care is a senior care and healthcare brand in Naxxar, Malta. It covers Simblija Care Home, Hilltop Gardens Retirement Village for people over 55, and the Revive Physio and Aquatic Centre.

Should a care group have one website or a separate site for each service?

When services share a location and serve the same families, one website with a clear section for each service is usually easier to use. Visitors can compare options in one place and see how the services support each other, while each service still keeps its own identity.

What should a care home website include?

At minimum: a plain description of each type of care offered, who it suits, an introduction to the care team, testimonials, location and contact details, and a simple way to ask a question or arrange a visit.
