Case study
AX Careers Malta
AX Careers Malta is the recruitment website of the AX Group, one of Malta's largest groups, covering jobs in hotels, care, construction, development and real estate. M7Alpha designed and built the website and the job system behind it, with searchable vacancies, saved jobs, direct applications and pages on training and life at AX.

The project
AX Careers Malta is where people find and apply for jobs across the AX Group, which spans hotels, care homes, construction, property development and real estate. M7Alpha designed and built the website and the job system behind it. This case study explains how one careers site serves five very different sectors and makes applying straightforward.
How does one careers site cover five different sectors?
By letting each sector introduce itself while sharing one job search. The homepage opens with a slide for each part of the group, AX Hotels, AX Care, AX Construction, AX Development and AX Real Estate, each with its own message about the kind of work involved. Underneath, every vacancy sits in a single searchable list, so a candidate can browse one sector or the whole group.
| Sector | Typical roles |
|---|---|
| AX Hotels | Chefs, house attendants, food and beverage staff, front office |
| AX Care | Carers, nurses and support staff in care homes |
| AX Construction | Site, trade and project roles |
| AX Development | Property development and project teams |
| AX Real Estate | Sales, lettings and property management |
How do candidates find and apply for jobs?
The All Jobs page lists every open vacancy with its company, location and contract type, and filters narrow the list by sector and other criteria. Candidates can save jobs to come back to later, and apply directly through the site, which keeps the process inside AX rather than through third-party job boards.
What does the system behind the site do?
Behind the public pages sits a job system that lets the AX team publish vacancies, keep them current and receive applications in one place. When a role is filled or a new one opens, the listing updates on the site straight away, so candidates are not applying for positions that have already gone.
Why include training and employee stories on a careers site?
Because candidates want to know what working somewhere is like, not only what jobs are open. The site gives that context in three ways:
- Working at AX: the group’s people, values and benefits across its sectors.
- AX Academy: internships, training, coaching, workshops and career progression.
- Inside Stories: employees describing their own careers, from long-serving hotel staff to people who started as interns.
A support section and a short set of common questions on the homepage answer the things candidates ask most, such as how AX helps people grow their careers.
What other employers can take from this project
- One search, many brands: let candidates browse a single business or the whole group.
- Apply directly: a simple application on your own site keeps the candidate relationship with you.
- Keep listings current: a job system that updates the site the moment a role changes.
- Show the culture: training and real employee stories make a job ad far more convincing.

Frequently asked questions
Who designed the AX Careers Malta website?

Should a company have its own careers website?
If you hire regularly or across several brands, yes. Your own careers site lets candidates search every vacancy, learn about your culture and apply directly, and it reduces reliance on paid job boards.
How much does a careers website or job system cost in Malta?
It depends on the number of brands, how vacancies are managed and whether applications need to flow into an internal system. Our guide on how much a website costs in Malta explains what drives the price, and our guide to custom software covers the system side.
