Case study
JL Group
JL Group brings together businesses across property, hospitality, cleaning and investment in Malta and Dubai, including JL Cleaning, JL Properties, the G Hotel and Haven & Keys. M7Alpha created the group's brand identity and designed and built its website, which introduces the group and gives every brand its own page.

The project
JL Group is a Maltese group of businesses working across property, hospitality, cleaning and investment, with operations in Malta and Dubai. Its brands include JL Cleaning, JL Properties, JL Hotel, the G Hotel, Micallef Investments, Azure Dubai and Haven & Keys. M7Alpha created the group’s brand identity and designed and built its website. This case study explains how a group site ties separate businesses together without overshadowing them.
What does a group brand need to do?
It has to sit above several established names and give them a shared identity, without replacing their own. The JL Group identity uses a calm navy palette and a clean wordmark that works alongside each brand’s logo, so the group reads as a confident parent rather than another competing brand.
How is the website organised?
Around the brands. The homepage opens with the group’s message, One Group Built Around Shared Ambition, and immediately shows a row of brand logos. From there, visitors can read about the group or go straight to any business through the Our Brands menu.
| Brand | Area |
|---|---|
| JL Cleaning | Professional cleaning for businesses and properties |
| JL Properties | Property opportunities, development and management |
| JL Hotel and G Hotel | Hospitality and guest stays |
| Haven & Keys | Short-let property management |
| Micallef Investments | Investment |
| Azure Dubai | The group’s presence in Dubai |
Why give each brand its own page on the group site?
Because people arriving at a group website are usually looking for one business. Each brand page explains what that business does, who it serves and how to reach it, then links to its own website. The group site becomes a directory and a reference point, which also helps search engines and AI assistants understand how the businesses are connected.
What else does the site include?
- About Us: the group’s mandate, vision and approach to building businesses with long-term value.
- Key figures: a short summary of the portfolio across sectors and countries.
- Get in Touch: a single contact point for partnerships and general enquiries.
What other business groups can take from this project
- A parent brand that supports, not competes: keep the group identity restrained so each brand stays visible.
- Lead with the brands: logos and links near the top of the homepage.
- A page per business: explain each one and link to its own site.
- One contact for partners: make it easy to approach the group as a whole.

What is JL Group?

Does a group of companies need its own website?
Usually, yes. A group website explains how the businesses are connected, gives partners and investors one point of contact, and helps search engines and AI assistants recognise the brands as part of the same group.
How much does a group or corporate website cost in Malta?
It depends on the number of pages, features such as booking, listings or forms, and how ready the content and photography are. Our guide on how much a website costs in Malta explains what drives the price.
