Case study
Hive Club
Hive Club is a nightclub in Paceville, Malta, with room for up to 900 guests, VIP areas and floor-to-ceiling screens, known for techno-electro nights and international artists. M7Alpha designed and built its website, a bold single-page site built around an events calendar, artist line-ups, past events and an enquiry form.

The project
Hive Club is one of the newer nightclubs in Paceville, Malta’s nightlife district. It holds up to 900 guests and is known for its high ceilings, floor-to-ceiling screens, VIP areas and a dance floor in the bathroom, and it has hosted international artists such as Tayc and Dadju. M7Alpha designed and built Hive’s website. This case study explains why a nightclub website works best when it is built around what is happening next.
What do people want from a nightclub website?
Mostly one thing: what is on, and when. Hive’s website is a single, bold page that gets to that answer fast. A full-width photo of a packed night and a scrolling HIVE banner set the mood, a short introduction explains what makes the club different, and the events calendar follows straight after.
How does the events calendar work?
Visitors pick a date on the calendar and see what is on that night, with the event, the artist and a button to buy tickets. Because people often plan a night out only days ahead, putting the calendar near the top of the page saves them hunting through menus.
Why show artists and past events?
Line-ups sell nights. An artists section with dozens of portraits, under the banner Over 20 Artists, shows the calibre of performers Hive books. A Past Events section shows previous nights with their posters, which proves to first-time visitors that the club is busy and gives regulars a reason to look back.
How does the design match the club?
The site uses a black background, bright orange accents, bold condensed type and moving banners, echoing the screens and lighting inside the club. The same look carries through on mobile, where most visitors check the site on their way out.
What else does the site include?
- Got any questions? An enquiry form for table bookings, private events and general questions.
- Social links: a direct route to @hivemalta for the latest photos and announcements.
What other venues can take from this project
- Lead with the calendar: what is on, and when, near the top of the page.
- Make tickets one tap away: a buy button on every event.
- Show your line-ups: artists and past events build credibility.
- Design for mobile first: nightlife sites are used on phones.
